Your brand should be hosting contests on social media. It generates new leads along with more followers and engagement. The type of contest you host will be determined by a few things, current follower status and the type of service or product you offer. This form of company to customer engagement is a great way to boost your followers and get your brand noticed. 

Before you host a contest you want to make sure you have set an overall goal for what you are trying to achieve for your brand. A few possibilities are listed below.

  • Plan: This is where you determine your contest type based on your brand’s niche. 

  • Select prize: People will be drawn to participate in your contest for one reason only, the prize! The best prize you can offer is the product or service that is found most attractive to your target audience. The contest should be focused on the demographic or target audience you have already found success with. 

  • Launch or promote your contest: Contests are considered “viral” content on social media. You want to create content that can be easily shared. Creating a post on Instagram that your followers can add toothier stories is a great start. You shouldn’t rely on just a single post on your feed to promote your contest. Consider your contest a massive marketing event for your brand.
