How to Effectively Use Instagram's Multi-Image Posts

Instagram has added a new feature to its feed! Since February, users have been able to share multiple photos and videos on one post. Though this sounds similar to Facebook’s album, the photos aren’t stored in a folder. Instead it is seen as one post since users can scroll through the content.

From a brand perspective, this is a great new feature. Because there are multiple photographs and you can’t see which photos are posted along with the first one, like when posting multiple photos on Facebook, it stops users from giving a double tap while their eyes continue to scroll.

If you don’t know how to tellthere are multiple pictures in the post, Instagram has included a way to tell! Underneath a multiple photo-post there will be tiny dots to represent how many photos are included.

This feature also gives clients a moment to share a full story about their a brand and an opportunity to craft a stronger message.

This could also change the way Instagram celebrities share their blogs, product features, etc. With multiple photos a fashion blogger can showcase different ways she wears a top, or a chef can show the different stages of his cooking.

There are millions of possibilities for the newest Instagram feature and how it can be used for brands.
