Make Stories, Not Movies

The great thing I love about Instagram is that you can post videos on your story right then and there versus YouTube which takes editing and uploading. Think about all the time you have lost when you are editing and uploading a video to your companies YouTube. Imagine the target audience you missed, new opportunities, and the chance to meet new people. Instagram stories allow your target audience, those people and those new opportunities, to be with you in the moment. Instagram describes stories as something that lets you share all the moments of your day, not just the ones you want to keep on your profile. The feature enables you to share multiple photos and videos, and they appear together in a slideshow format. This is basically like Snapchat but a little bit more professional. What I love about Instagram stories is that you can also decorate then. Watch tutorials on YouTube that can help you engage your audience in affective stories. Another great tool with Instagram stories is that it allows your followers to swipe up and ask any questions or leave comments. You can also respond to all of those questions and comments on your story so your listeners know that you are engaging with them. YouTube videos are great when it comes to a big reveal, a tutorial, or an update, but you can give your following a little tease through the Instagram story. If your company thrives off of YouTube, don’t forget to put the link in your companies bio so that your customers can always refer back to the video. Another great thing about Instagram stories is that they can easily be found. They are always on your profile for 24 hours, and people who don’t even follow you can find them. It’s a great way to grow your company as well as get your name out there. stories are a lot better when they are told in the moment versus a video which takes time and effort and may lose momentum. Take your customers in the moment with you and have them feel the exciting same experience that you do working for your company.
