Well, I’m here to give you some tips and tricks on how to create an IGTV as well as promote it across different audiences. An IGTV video is a video that is more than a minute long. You can upload videos on your Instagram feed, but if they are longer than a minute, they go in a different section on your profile. If you swipe right on your profile that is where you can find all of your IGTV videos. There are two ways to go about an IGTV:
The first way you can upload an IGTV is from your cell phone. If you want to record a video using the camera setting on your phone, you can also edit that video on your phone, and then add it to Instagram. You would add it to Instagram the same way you would add a photo. Then an icon would come up asking if you would like to make this an IGTV. I have seen videos that are a minute and five seconds to forty-five-minute videos. You can also add a preview to your Instagram feed. That way when people are scrolling on their feed, a little snippet of your video will show up. Don’t forget to add a title of the video, a caption, and it wouldn’t hurt to throw in a couple of hashtags to reach different audiences.
The next way you can add an IG TV to your profile is by going live. When you go live you cannot mess up! This is a real-time experience that you can have interviewing others or just talking about something awesome your company is doing. This would be a great time to interact with your users that are using Instagram at that time, answering their questions, and giving them real-time responses. This will help them be engaged and excited because they feel a part of your company. Once you finish live, you have the opportunity to make your life and IGTV. You can also create a series so if your company has a series on one specific thing, you can do multiple videos on it and add it under that specific series.
