There is only ONE thing you need before your start a content calendar, and that, is a communications plan. If you have no plan, no idea of where you are trying to go or what you are trying to accomplish, then there is no point in a content calendar. Others may have a different opinion, but a content calendar should be a part of a larger strategic plan. Not just a shot in the dark of what you think you would like to post each day.

It is easy to jump into a relationship with a client and become very eager to get started, but we have to lay the groundwork in order to get to make sure that we are in the proper position to achieve the proper goals.
