People are losing their jobs and their careers, and while you still want to communicate, make sure to not overwhelm them. Instead, just let your customers know how your company is responding and what they can expect from you. The best way you can do this is by updating them on information that is actually useful and helpful to your customer base.

ADAPT

While the world is ever-changing, it’s necessary to be able to adapt and react. The future is unpredictable and it’s in these times that you must be able to adjust your market strategy. Certain ads you were running might suddenly feel insensitive or a campaign might not be relevant anymore. Try to stay unattached and instead pivot your marketing to more relevant campaigns and ads. While your first instinct might be to shut down marketing altogether, we would recommend to instead pause, slowdown, and revaluate. Listen to customers, pay attention to other companies and the feedback they are receiving. Then, when you feel confident in your new plan of action, continue your marketing with a sense of reassurance, knowing that your new direction is well thought out.

FOCUS ON YOU

It happens to us and we know it happens to you as well, in the midst of everyday life, projects get pushed to the back-burner. With some businesses being temporarily closed, think of this as a time for renovations! This sudden break from the normal hustle and bustle gives you a great opportunity to revamp your web, social, and all those other projects you have previously put off. A crisis can become a great time to implement positive internal change as well. Though these are rough times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. As a business and as a person, think of this time as an opportunity to come out better than you ever were before!
